You've captured the scene beautifully, so haunting and sad. I love the castle in the background and Artax's sepulchral expression.

Oh Jesus. You may not want to know this, but the horse actually did die in the muck. The support beams broke.

It made me cry like a baby BEFORE I knew that.

I haven't watched it since I found out.

Wonderful picture. I almost cried when I came to that part in the book. One of my all time favourites by the way. I did not like the film, though. It somehow failed to convey the message of the book.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. The actor playing Atreyu got stuck in something and got trapped under the mud until he was almost unconscious or something. Maybe that's the story that led to the myth.
